Introduction

Cassi Fine, CEO of The Stardust Foundation, a mission-driven nonprofit that shares powerful stories and runs community-focused donation campaigns, approached me with a clear and urgent goal: she needed a digital platform that could do more than look good. It had to help her collect donations more effectively, manage story submissions with ease, and give her campaigns a home that reflected the heart behind her mission. She wasn’t just asking for a website; she needed a living, breathing platform that could carry real stories and drive real impact, fast.

Squarespace

Problem and Objectives

The foundation’s existing website lacked the flexibility and functionality needed to support their expanding operations. They couldn’t easily showcase active campaigns or manage user-submitted stories. During our initial discovery session, we mapped out five core objectives: Build responsive web pages on Squarespace to support a modern user experience Develop Campaign and Story Pages that attract, inform, and convert visitors into donors Create an easy-to-use custom dashboard for the foundation to manage and publish new stories Integrate donation tools that support real-time fundraising Automate story collection and management for internal efficiency

With these goals in mind, i began crafting a solution that would be equal parts intuitive, powerful, and inspiring.

My Approach

I knew the mission was bigger than code and content. Every delay meant a story went untold, and a donation went unmade. The urgency was real; the foundation’s ongoing campaign was waiting on a fully functioning platform. I pulled all-nighters, worked in sprints, and approached the build with deep empathy. The goal was to create a system that made it easy for visitors to connect with stories, and for the Stardust team to manage them behind the scenes, without getting lost in complexity. I brought together the strengths of Squarespace, Tally, DonorPerfect, Zapier, and Google Sheets to deliver a system that ran smoothly, both on the front and back end. Responsive Campaign Pages on Squarespace I started by designing and developing a responsive Campaign Page and individual Story Pages on Squarespace. These pages became the foundation’s digital stage, elegant, accessible, and purpose-driven. Key features included: Clean, modern design aligned with the foundation’s mission and branding Fully responsive layout for desktop, tablet, and mobile Dedicated sections to highlight ongoing stories and campaigns Story Submission Workflow with Tally Form To empower the Stardust team to submit and share stories easily, we embedded a Tally Form into the Story Page. The form allowed them to: Add story titles and descriptions Upload optional images Submit content with a single click Once submitted, stories were automatically published to the Campaign Page, making the process seamless for both admins and visitors.

Donation Integration with DonorPerfect Each individual Story Page featured a DonorPerfect donation form, enabling visitors to contribute directly to the story that resonated with them. This setup allowed: Story-specific donations with clear context A smooth, embedded donation experience Real-time syncing with the foundation’s donation platform Dashboard Automation with Zapier and Google Sheets Behind the scenes, we connected the Tally Form with Zapier to push all submitted story data into Google Sheets, giving the foundation: A live, organized dashboard of all story submissions Editable access to update or manage stories as needed Full transparency and control without technical hurdles Final Results & Campaign Success I didn’t just launch the platform, we stood by it. For two months, our team supported the Stardust Foundation through a live donation campaign, working late into the night to ensure every piece functioned smoothly and on time. The campaign launched successfully and saw: Increased visitor engagement Smoother story submission and publishing A significant uptick in donor conversions The urgency was met. The mission moved forward. And every story that mattered found its place online.

Conclusion and Customer Feedback

With the revamped Squarespace site, smart automation, and intuitive campaign tools, the Stardust Foundation now has a platform that matches the depth and heart of their mission. They can collect stories, run campaigns, and receive donations, all in one seamless flow. “Muhammad Danyal built allowed us to focus on what really matters, telling meaningful stories and growing our impact. The process was smooth, the result was beautiful, and the campaign was a success.” — Stardust Foundation Team

This project was a true reflection of how storytelling and smart technology can come together to create impact. With Muhammad Danyal, i was honored to be part of the journey.
