Introduction
With decades of experience under his belt and a reputation for quality in the offline world, Mathew had mastered everything, except one thing: online sales. His product was strong. His story was compelling. But his website? That was the weak link. Outdated, underperforming, and uninspired, it was holding the entire digital side of his business hostage. Mathew knew he needed help, not just in redesigning his site, but in reclaiming lost ground in a market he should have been leading.
Problem and Objectives
When Mathew came to me, he had one clear objective: build a website that looked professional and converted visitors into buyers. But on the discovery call, it was clear that while Mathew knew his pain points, he wasn’t quite sure what was causing them. That’s where i stepped in. After a comprehensive website audit, the following issues stood out: The website’s design felt outdated and visually cluttered The customer journey lacked flow, with confusing navigation and missing CTAs Crucial inner pages, especially product detail pages, were missing altogether There was no strategic structure guiding users toward a purchase decision
My core objectives became clear: Give the website a modern, clean design with a strong brand presence Optimize the user journey to reduce friction and improve conversion rates Build custom content sections to attract, educate, and guide users Design and develop new inner pages with product-specific focus Ensure smooth performance, mobile responsiveness, and easy content management Time was ticking. The longer the site underperformed, the more opportunities slipped away. I had to act fast.
My Approach
I didn’t just jump into design i mapped out the entire digital ecosystem Engineered Sleep needed to succeed online. This project required tight collaboration across our design, development, and strategy teams. Design That Reflects Legacy & Modern Appeal I crafted a clean and modern layout that showcased the brand’s heritage without feeling old-fashioned. Every page, from homepage to inner product details, was wireframed, prototyped, and polished to perfection.
Full Shopify Development We chose Shopify as the development platform to ensure ease of management, flexibility, and scalability. Our developers brought the designs to life using best practices for: Pixel-perfect implementation of the approved design Mobile-first responsiveness, ensuring smooth UX across all devices Fast-loading pages to reduce bounce rates Smooth animations and transitions to enhance user engagement Custom Shopify blocks and sections for better content control and flexibility Journey Optimization & Content Structuring I streamlined the user flow by creating intuitive navigation, strategic CTAs, and engaging content sections, designed to educate visitors and guide them naturally toward making a purchase. Contact and Communication I built a fully functional contact form within Shopify, integrated it with Mathew’s email, and ensured reliable submission tracking, so no inquiry was ever missed. Content Upload and Visual Optimization I carefully formatted all client-provided content and optimized images for visual consistency, load speed, and brand alignment, resulting in a polished, high-converting final product.
